People say that art is a great escape from almost everything. Art form can be as varied as people and can have equally varied effects. Cooking is one art form which has lot of appeal. Oh yes ! cooking is definitely an art form. The most interesting thing is how the lifestyle and persona of every person effects his/her style of cooking.

Really an amusing thing.i have been staying out of home for the last 10 years and have developed my own set of cooking styles. Being alone means you need to do more with less. Contrary to popular belief many bachelors can actually cook up a delicacy within minutes and that too with simplest of things. Of course you need to train a lot, need to do lot of experiments and sometimes have to eat the experiment which went 'wrong'.
'Top Ramen' and 'Sandwich' days are gone and are the things of past. I would not want my young days to be on noodles diet. and i really dont want to gorge on MTR ready meals. I would like to prepare something and then eat it. My personal experience is men always begin learning cooking from grilling. Makes sense ..isn'it! Grilled chicken or mutton- easy,masculine,outdoors and goes well with liquor. Like everything you learn cooking in layers and then a moment comes when you bring in your creativity and try to create something different and something "you". Well we men are good at it. Creative cooking is like exploring the "known".
i never plan and cook. Always have a mental note of what is available and what you can do with it. These days you don't even need cookbooks..google is the best pal. I often find using items i used to hate few months ago. This is what iam talking about. Cooking is like giving old enemies a new chance. I never liked 'karela' but now i love it. It can take few tries to learn to like a new food item. Often people dislike a particular food and never try to cook it in different way. All we need to do is try to cook the item in different way.
Always keep a record of your cooking triumps and failures . Cooking with creativity is quite brave but it also requires constant improvement and zeal. but even if a experiment goes wrong..top ramen is always there.
